American author William Faulkner called Mark Twain “the father of American literature”. Mark Twain (meaning “Mark

2、 number two“) was a Mississippi River term. He was successively a printers apprentice, a tramp printer, a silver miner, a steamboat pilot on the Mississippi, and a frontier journalist in Nevada and California. His colorful experience gave his resource of his writing and a wide knowledge of humanity.
