Fabulous Washington Reviews Panther Creek’s Woodinville Tasting Room

A rarity in Woodinville, Panther Creek Cellars is actually an Oregon winery. Plenty of Washington winemakers source grapes from south of the border to craft their Pinot noirs, but Panther Creek was founded there in 1986 by state wine legend Ken Wright and remains centered in the Willamette Valley. It opened its Woodinville tasting room in 2018 to bring Pinot Noir not just grown but made in Oregon to Washington wine drinkers.

Originally located just around the corner from where it is now, this new spot has much more visibility, not to mention a lovely patio where you might catch Booboo, the tasting room’s dog-in-residence, laying in the sun. (Your own four-legged friend is also welcome.)

As you might expect, there are multiple Pinots to try and from the 2022 Cuvee to the 2022 Journey Pinot Noir. All offer excellent examples of why Willamette is so renowned for this varietal. There are also some fun surprises, like its first-ever sparkling Brut – made from Washington grapes.
