摘要:

考琳·麦卡洛是澳大利亚当代最有影响的作家之一。她2003年出版的力作《呼唤》被誉为＂继《荆棘鸟》之后最成功的家世小说和爱情传奇＂。本文通过对作品文本的分析和解读,分别从对男女平等、自由、新移民精神和爱的呼唤四个方面,揭示了在那个色彩瑰丽的时代和地方生活在那里的人们心灵深处的呼唤。

Abstract:

Colleen McCullough is one of the most influential Australian novelists in the contemporary era.Her masterpiece The Touch,published in 2003,is considered to be her most successful family saga and romance after The Thorn Birds.In the following text,the author will reveal people’s call of the heart in that colorful period and place respectively from the aspects of equality between men and women,freedom,new immigrant spirit and love.
